SourceNext Data Breach in Japan: 22.5 Million Member Records Taken Through an API, Including Encrypted Passwords
Software maker SourceNext, known abroad for Pocketalk, says a member information API was abused from October 9 to 13, 2026 to take 22.5 million records. Passwords were encrypted, not hashed, and Nikkei reports the decryption program was compromised.
