Japan Detained a Core Qilin Ransomware Member and Handed Him to Germany, Asahi Shimbun Reports
According to the Asahi Shimbun, Japanese authorities detained a 28-year-old Russian national said to be a core member of the Qilin ransomware group while he was traveling in Osaka, and extradited him to Germany on October 2, 2026. No official statement has been published.
